Book 4 - Advanced Piano Chords Made easy

(NOTE: It is essential to have studied book 1 before trying book 4)

CONTENTS

As you progress you will want to embellish your piano chords. There are two ways to do this - you can read some books on theory (for the next 10 years) or you can do it the Pianoforall way - with tricks, bluffs, easy to remember formulas and VISUAL devices.

Bluff your way - '9', '11' and 'sus4' piano chords

Pianoforall gives you just ONE amazing simple formula that will bluff the sound of THREE very often used extended piano chords - 9ths, 11ths and sus4 chords. Within ten minutes you'll be able to play them for ANY chord in ANY shape - INSTANTLY!

Mannilow Mood (Barry Mannilow piano songs use a lot of '9', '11' and 'sus4' chords)
A great practice tune based on a Barry Mannilow song

Diminished Piano Chords

DIMINISHED chords add a very distinctive sound to any tune and you will come across them a LOT in all styles of music. Students tend to avoid them because 'in theory' they are difficult to remember. Pianoforall again shows you the EASY way to instantly play ANY diminished chord. If you learn just THREE very distinctive 'shapes' you will be able to play all TWELVE basic diminished chords in a flash. These 'shapes' are GREAT when it comes to playing runs and patterns.

Right Hand Cluster Piano Chords

A Cluster Chord is a chord in which two (or three) of the notes in the chord are 'clustered' together. Musicians use them to create 'tension' and interest in a song. Very easy to learn yet so effective

Again - all these techniques are driven home using a multitude of great progressions in the style of classic songs. This is really the ONLY way to learn piano chords.
